KOLLAPS (POST-INDUSTRIAL // HARSH NOISE // MELBOURNE)

Australian post-industrialists KOLLAPS are a three piece creating a unique brand of primitive noise “intended for degenerates and outsiders”. The bands’ distinctive primordial tones are created using appropriated waste materials like scrap metal, raw plastics and steel plates combined with blistering percussion, bass and vocals. This is no empty “industrial” gesture, for the band this process of creation facilitates the literal use of postmodern society against itself.

Mechanical Christ, the bands’ sophomore release, is a conceptual continuation of its predecessor Sibling Lovers. This release sees Kollaps further their exploration of the inherent societal sickness of our times, one that manifests itself in the debasement of individual morality. Themes of exploitation, vengeance, drug addiction, paranoia and slave labour are part of a dissonant, inverted morality play. Testament to the bands’ evolving conceptual depth are the overarching themes of love, life and death that offer a sense of shared experience in the discomfort of the universal human experience. Known for their violent and nihilistic stage performances, this recording encapsulates with harsher clarity the visceral confrontation that is Kollaps’ live act.

Mechanical Christ was recorded and mixed over a two-month period at Aviary Studios by Mike Deslandes, and mastered by James Plotkin/Plotkinworks. It is a 36-minute journey into the desperation and lack of resolve that is both the crux of modern social ills and at the very heart of the human condition.

PETROLIO (Industrial noise ambient)

Petrolio was founded in 2015 by Enrico Cerrato, a musician already active in metal, industrial and jazz / noise / punk scenes. Petrolio first release "Di Cosa Si Nasce" born in april 2017. This album is co-produced by DreaminGorilla Records, Dio Drone, Taxi Driver Records, Vollmer Industries, Toten Schwan Records, Screamore, E' un brutto posto dove vivere, Brigante Records and he obtain an unexpected success in Italy and abroad.
After his first gig in December 2016, Petrolio plays in various live events in Italy and abroad, sharing the stage with musical entities such as MaiMaiMai, Of the Wand and the Moon, Adamennon, Mombu, Bologna Violenta, Alos, Moaan Exis, Winterkälte, N Ran, Marnero, Uochi Tochi, Aborym and BadGirl, playing in Vienna, Prague, Augsburg, Tubingen, Zurich, Lugano, Toulouse, Lyon, Marseille, Clermont Ferrand, Landsberg am Lech, Marburg, Frankfurt and Karlsruhe.
In spring 2018 he took part at the ElektroAnschlang Fest, an electronic music festival in Altenburg (D). In January 2018 he published for the Canadian label Low Noise Prod. a new ep containing three songs created for the performance with the contemporary theater performer Angela Teodorowsky.
In autumn Petrolio come back with a new album “L+Esistenze”, a great experience born as a collaboration with important artist coming from different kind of music; work with Petrolio Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten , Automat , AADK , Soundscapes), Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo (( r ), Almagest!, Blind Cave Salamander, Coypu, Larsen, XXL), Aidan Baker (Nadja), Sigillum S, MaiMaiMai e N Ran ().
On November 2018 he shows his new album in a tour in the South Italy and with some gigs in Swiss and Germany.
On March 2919 I’ll play in Prague at Audiotrauma Fest.

L+ESISTENZE

“L+Esistenze” is the new album by Petrolio, scheduled to be released in October. but not only. it is a dream which has been going on for a long time..six artists have in fact participated in the realization of this album and devoured Petrolio sounds and noises giving life to 12 pieces, each one characterized by the artistic attitude of each musician.. the following projects have taken part in this adventure...
